Casita del Campo, a landmark restaurant in Silverlake was founded by Rudy del Campo and family in 1962. His last feature film, which he performed as a principle dancer was West Side Story. He was a great dancer, and a fantastic restauranteur.
On March 17, 2012, Saturday, from 11am until 2am, we will be celebrating our 50th Golden Anniversary, to the day! A stellar mariachi band, Manny Silvera’s latin jazz band, and a showcase of West Side Story Memorabilia will be featured on this day.
This beautiful restaurant has two outdoor garden patio’s, and indoor rubber tree; original 1960’s design, beautifully preserved throughout 50 years; original mexican motif glass mosaic tables created by Gina del Campo; a theater for live performances, and an experienced staff , which always makes you feel at home.
Casita del Campo restaurant has always prided itself on using the freshest ingredients, in all its preparation of food and drink. The margaritas are made with fresh, hand squeezed, lime juice, and our chips and salsa, are raved about. That’s only the starters! Our signature dishes include: Pollo Mexica, slow baked, with fresh fruit juices, assorted spices, and achiote chili sauce. Enchilada Suizas with green tomatillo sauce, and the best carnitas in Los Angeles.
